Studio Art Practice

My own art practice sits alongside and informs my work as an art therapist. I work across drawing, textiles, installation and found materials, often following materials intuitively and allowing ideas to emerge through the process of making.

Maintaining a practice of my own keeps me connected to the uncertainty, curiosity and discovery involved in making art. It is also a reminder that art does not always need to explain itself. Sometimes meaning arrives through material, gesture, repetition and play, before it can be put into words.

The images here offer small glimpses into this ongoing practice.
